Plugin: Hyper-Undo |
Description of
effect:
Spare me... An UNDO function with 19 parameters! What good could
that be?
-A lot! With this Hyper-UNDO tool you can go back in time, before you applied the previous effect, and re-paint with the Undo-buffer. All effects, except the ones that affect the length, the number of channels and the samplerate of the waveform, have an accompanying Undo buffer. You can also see this Undo-buffer with the 'View | Before / After' menu choice.
With this tool you can bring back parts of this Undo buffer.
This tool is handy if some part of your song did not turn out as good as you hoped, and you want to do an "local Undo".
Caution: When you press Apply, the changes are applied directly onto the waveform, and there is no possibility for going back again. This makes the editing very quick, and can be performed without any delay at random places even in very large files .
Because this tool work in the frequency space, it is extremely processor-hungry.
Description of
parameters:
Main graphical window. This is a "paintable" area that represent a segment of the current waveform. If you have made a selection, this segment will be placed in the beginning of the selection. It is not possible to zoom in or out this picture, and the segment length is fixed (and happens to be 131072 samples).
Use the mouse to paint the effect with the currently selected brush.
Brush graphical window. This is a preview of the brush. It shows the size and the center-of-strength.
Use the Two brush sliders to define the size of the brush.
Edit brush strength to define the strength of the current function. Units: 0-100%
Undo / Redo brush. With the Undo brush you bring back the Undo buffer, and with the Redo-brush you bring back the current buffer. (If you only use the Redo-brush nothing will happen.)
View Version, Output version / Undo buffer. This will affect which waveform you will see in the graphical window. The Undo-buffer will always remain the same, while the output buffer is the version that you are working towards.
View channel Left / Right. You can only look at one channel at a time if you are editing a stereo waveform. Viewing a channel has nothing to do with where you paint.
Paint on channel Left / Right. If you are editing a stereo waveform, you may not want to paint on both channels with identical moves. Select which channel to paint on. (If you are not viewing that channel, -you won't see anything.)
Revert to input. This will go back one step and reload the current segment from harddisk. It will not reload everything that you have done; when you press Apply, the undo choice is no longer available!
Apply. This will make your changes permanent. You cannot revert after this.
Auto apply. This will apply your changes whenever you use the scrollbar to move through the waveform, or exit the Hyper-Undo tool.
Play Input / Output / Undo, Stop playing. You can preview the changes before you apply them. The input buffer is the current version on disk. The output version is the version you are working towards, the undo buffer is what you are "painting from".
See extremely weak signals. Use this option to enhance the picture of the weakest signals. With this option you can see the smallest components existing when calculating with 32 bit floating points.
